About us
Baylor University is a private research university in Waco, Texas. It was established in 1845 and is the oldest operating university in Texas. The Baylor campus sprawls across 1000 acres and encompasses twelve academic units, twelve residence halls, a football stadium, and a Living-learning center. Baylor offers 142 baccalaureate programs, 75 master’s programs, and 42 doctoral degrees in diverse disciplines such as Earth Sciences, Business, Finance, Liberal Arts and Sciences, etc. The university boasts of 300 plus student organizations and 16 sports teams. Baylor provides financial aid to 95 percent of its students, and various international scholarships for Indian students are available. The current enrollment of Baylor is 20000 plus students. It is classified as R1: Doctoral universities with High Research Activity. Moreover, in 2005 Baylor was also invited to participate in the world’s largest experimental physics collaboration.
