About us
Capilano University was well-established in 1968 and is a member of the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). Since 2008, it has been acknowledged as a university. A total of 14 bachelor courses, 7 associate degrees, 26 certificate programs, 29 diploma programs, one master's certificate, two master's diplomas, two pathways programs, one post-baccalaureate certificate, five post-baccalaureate diplomas, and two standalone courses are offered. At Capilano University, students can join 36 student clubs. A variety of drop-in activities is provided at the Centre for Sport and Wellness, including yoga, badminton, futsal, and competitive recreational basketball league. Up to 2,500 international students attend Capilano each year. Thus, it is listed among the best places to study abroad. CapU has three residence halls for its students, including Grouse Hall, Cypress Hall, and Seymour Hall. Some notable alumni of the university include Nick Bateman, Graham Wardle, Rainer Andreesen, and Bria Skonberg.
