Illinois Institute of Technology, abbreviated as Illinois Tech, is a private research university located in Chicago, Illinois. It was established in 1890. The university has five campuses in the Chicago area. The main campus of Illinois Tech sprawls across 120 acres and comprises five colleges, one academic school, many research centers, and several residence halls. The total enrollment of Illinois Tech is 7000 students, out of whom 46 percent are international students.
