About us
Mercer University is a private research university with its primary campus in Macon, Georgia. It was founded in 1833 as Mercer Institute and gained university status in 1837. The main campus of Mercer University sprawls across 150 acres. It comprises 12 academic schools and colleges, six on-campus dining sites, various residence halls, a football and lacrosse complex, and so forth.
