About us
Missouri University of Science and Technology, abbreviated as Missouri S&T, is a public-funded research university located in Phelps’s City, Missouri. Established in 1870 as Mississippi School of Mines and Metallurgy, Missouri S&T was the first technological institution of West Mississippi. The university sprawls over 284 acres and is a two-hour drive from Rolla, the nearest big city to the university. Missouri S&T has an enrollment of 7618 students, out of whom 13 percent are international students from 30 plus countries, making it one of the best places to study abroad. In addition, it is also deemed among the R2: Doctoral Research Universities. Missouri S&T offers 99 degree programs in 40 different areas of study. Missouri University of Science and Technology has an expansive alumni network, and some of the notable ones are – Jack Dorsey, Kim Young-gil, and George Mueller.
