About us
Founded in 1978, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) is a private, nonprofit arts institution located in Savannah, Georgia, Atlanta, Georgia, and Lacoste, France. It has been accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools as well as by other professional organizations. Savannah College of Art and Design offers more than 40 majors, 75 minors, and certificate programs, as well as access to multiple learning centers throughout the world.
There are a number of prominent buildings located on the campus, such as Sand at Victory Village, the Lacoste Library, The Shed, and SCAD Fit Savannah, among others. On campus, there are several residence halls, libraries, cafeterias, and a SCADfit fitness center. At SCAD, life is dynamic and connected both inside and outside the classroom. A few of the notable alumni of Savannah College of Art and Design include Tomas Kalnoky: Lead singer of ska punk band Streetlight Manifesto ; Charlie Zink: Major League Baseball pitcher ; Peg Parnevik: A Swedish singer and songwriter and more.
