In 1888, Tiffin University was founded as a private, co-educational institution in Tiffin, Ohio. There are three accreditation bodies that recognize Tiffin University: the Higher Learning Commission, the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), and the European Council for Business Education (ECBE). Over 50 undergraduate programs and 25 graduate programs are offered at Tiffin University.
The university has three schools: the School of Business, the School of Arts and Sciences, and the School of Criminal Justice and Social Sciences. As part of its semester-based academic calendar, the University admits students in the fall and spring semesters. There are six intakes per year for the university's online programs: January, March, May, July, August, and October. A total of 3,013 students are enrolled at the university. International students represent nearly 10% of the student body, i.e. over 200 students representing 30 countries. As a moderately selective institution, it has an acceptance rate of 69%.
