About us
The University of Bridgeport (UB) is a private university located in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The New England Commission of Higher Education has given accreditation to the university. Founded in 1927, it offers about 125 programs and specialties. UB consists of three colleges called the College of Health Sciences, College of Business, College of Engineering, and College of Arts and Sciences. The university runs both undergraduate and doctoral programs and accepts students from over 80 countries. More than 5,100 undergraduate and graduate students study at the university. Scholarships are awarded based on academic qualifications and merit. Bridgeport University offers on-campus accommodation in dormitories. The University of Bridgeport's campus has more than 60 clubs and student organizations, bringing together a diverse range of students with different interests. Students can live in five dormitories and enjoy on-campus meals, laundry, Wi-Fi, and more. Some of the names of UB’s notable alumni include Manute Bol, Dennis M. Walcott, and Fred DeLuca.
