The University of Central Oklahoma, abbreviated as UCO, is a public-funded research university located in Edmond City, Oklahoma. It was established in 1890 and began offering postgraduate degrees in 1971. The campus of UCO sprawls across 210 acres of land and comprises 34 state-of-the-art buildings. The university operates out of six academic colleges that offer 114 undergraduate majors and 58 postgraduate degrees in science, liberal arts, business, mathematics, education, fine arts, professional studies, and design. The current enrollment of UCO is 16000 plus students, out of whom 1500 are international students. The University of Central Oklahoma offers numerous study abroad scholarships to make quality education affordable and accessible. The university's acceptance rate is 84 percent, and it provides financial aid to 91 percent of its students.
