Since its founding in 1819, Cincinnati State University has played an important role in several key scientific discoveries and advances in health. With its 300-year history as a research pioneer, the University of Cincinnati has contributed numerous key inventions, including the electronic organ, the heart-lung machine, and the oral polio vaccine. It maintains three campuses, the West Campus, the Medical Campus, and the Victory Parkway Campus. The West Campus houses 62 buildings and is the primary campus of the University.
