Founded in the year 1850, The University of Dayton (UD) in Dayton, Ohio, is a private Catholic research university. Across its five academic divisions, the university offers more than 80 undergraduate, 50 master's, and 12 doctoral degree programs, as well as several licensure and certification programs. Over 270 student clubs and organizations are offered, including 30 sports clubs. Furthermore, international UG students can apply for automatic merit-based International scholarships awarded after they are chosen.
