The University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) is a public-funded research university located in Oxford, Mississippi. It was established in 1844 and is the largest university of Mississippi state with an enrollment of 24000 students. Along with the main campus in Oxford, the university comprise of a medical school in Jackson, and has campuses in Tupelo, Boonville, Grenada, and Southern. The main campus of the Ole Miss sprawls across 1000 acres and includes fifteen schools. The university is also deemed among the R1: Doctoral Universities and is one of the 22 colleges and universities participating in the National Sea Grant Program. A retention rate of 86 percent and an international student enrollment of 3.6 percent make the University of Mississippi one of the best places to study abroad. Ole Miss offers 10 bachelor degrees with a major in 80 subjects. It also extends several graduate degrees and doctoral degrees in 75 plus concentrations.
