Founded in 1963, The University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL) is a public research university in St. Louis, Missouri. MU St. Louis offers exceptional educational, research, and engagement experiences to engage, prepare, challenge, and inspire students. It has one of the most diverse populations of any school in the country, making it one of the best places to study abroad for international students. It offers several sciences, arts, engineering, education courses, including 31 baccalaureates, 16 masters, and 7 doctorate degrees. Moreover, there are programs at the bachelor's and master's levels in Biology, Economics, Communications, English, along with nursing, performing arts, and optometry. The campus has been upgraded over the last ten years by constructing a student center, parking areas, a performing arts center, academic buildings and residential accommodations.
