About us
The University of Nebraska – Lincoln, abbreviated as UNL or NU, is a public land-grant research university located in Lincoln, Nebraska. Established in 1869, UNL is the oldest university of the state and the flagship institution of the University of Nebraska System. The university has three campuses that spread over 2815 acres and house eight colleges and over 100 buildings. UNL offers more than 200 undergraduate programs and 70 graduate programs in Liberal Arts and Sciences, Nursing, Architecture, Fine Arts, Law, etc. It also extends more than a thousand study abroad options. UNL is deemed an R1: Doctoral University and spends more than USD 300 million on research and development per year. With more than 3000 international students from over 130 countries, the University of Nebraska – Lincoln is one of the best places to study abroad.
