About us
University of Toledo is a public research university founded in 1872; it is located in Toledo, the third largest city in Ohio. It encompasses more than 250 programs of study in 13 schools and colleges: Norman Adolph Ruth School of Business and Innovation, Kevin P. McGovern School of Aviation, College of Arts and Letters, College of Engineering, College of Medicine and Life Sciences.
Research activities are well developed at the university, and emphasis is given to a variety of research areas, including solar energy research by the Wright Centre for Photovoltaics Innovation and Commercialisation and environmental research by the Lake Erie Centre.
