The University of Vermont (UVM), officially known as The University of Vermont and State Agricultural College, is a public-funded research university located in Burlington, Vermont. It was established in 1791 and is deemed as one of the United States' oldest universities. The campus of UVM sprawls across 450 acres of land and has an urban setting. The university operates out of academic schools: the College of Business Studies, College of Engineering & Mathematical Sciences, College of Arts & Sciences, College of Agriculture & Life Sciences, College of Medicine, College of Social Sciences, Honors College, College of Nursing & Health Sciences and College of Environment & Natural Resources.
