Poznań’s Adam Mickiewicz University (AMU) is one of the largest, multi-disciplinary, public research institutions that enjoys a traditional academic culture and modern developments. Founded in 1919 and initially called the Polish State University and named after the great Polish poet Adam Mickiewicz, lost, is today one of the most important centres for higher learning in Poland.
