American University, abbreviated as AU or American, is a private university located in Washington D.C. The university was established in 1893. The main campus of AU sprawls across 90 acres. It encompasses eight academic schools and colleges, 12 residence halls and several recreational facilities . AU offers 71 bachelor’s programs, 87 master’s programs, and ten doctoral degrees in diverse fields such as Arts, Sciences, Business,etc. It has a total enrollment of 14000 plus students. Moreover, 75 % of AU students receive financial aid, making it one of the most affordable places to study abroad. In terms of innovation and research, AU is deemed among R2: Doctoral Universities High Research Activity. The university also has 240 plus recognized student organizations and various sports clubs.
