About us
Aston University is a public-funded research university in Birmingham, England. It was established in 1895 as Birmingham Municipal Technology College and was granted full-fledged university status in 1966. The Aston campus is a ten-minute walk from Birmingham’s city center. It is equipped with five academic schools, two residence halls, multiple studios, a gym, and other recreational infrastructures. The total enrollment of Aston is 11000 students and has a study abroad intake of 2000 international students from 120 countries. Aston University offers 107 undergraduate programs and 97 graduate programs in sought-after fields like business, health, languages, etc. Recently, the Research Assessment Exercise deemed Aston University in the top 12 institutes of the UK with 86 percent of its research as ‘internationally significant.’ Aston is home to 130 student clubs and several sports teams. Some of the notable alumni of Aston University include Ben Francis, Veronica German, and Ravi Kant.
