California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI) is a public university in Ventura County, California and is academically popular for being interdisciplinary and reflecting a multicultural and international approach. It was founded in the year 2002 and has undergraduate and graduate programs offering concentrations in service learning and experiential learning. CSUCI is a member of the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) institutional associate.
CSUCI now has over 50 undergraduate and graduate programs that are grouped under rims such as business, sciences, liberal studies, education credentials and some specialised master's programs. With an 18:1 student-faculty ratio, they ensure every student is paid attention to and create an encouraging learning atmosphere. Being a Hispanic-serving institution, the CSUCI encourages diversity. In the U.S. News & World Report, CSUCI is a regional university of the West.
