About us
The Central Methodist University, known as CMU, was established in 1854 in Fayette, Missouri, and is one of the prestigious private universities that is related to the United Methodist Church. Established in 1902 under the name of The College for Women, CMU is a well-recognised institution that provides outstanding undergraduate and numerous graduate programmes. The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and other educational institutions.
The Intercollegiate Athletics Program of the Eagles, which competes at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) field, involves 19 varsity sports that complement academics. As a premier university with a great, active student community and with many decades in existence, CMU offers much more than academic education to its clients.
