About us
Columbia College is a two-year university transfer college that was founded in 1936. Located in Vancouver, British Columbia, the college welcomes 1000+ student intakes each year. Students can choose between the following programs: University Transfer Program, Associate Degree Program, High School Program, and Academic ESL. There are two types of associate degrees available currently: associate of arts degrees and associate of science degrees. Among the subjects offered are Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, Psychology, Mathematics, etc. Students will take courses equivalent to Year 1 and Year 2 of a four-year UG degree program. Building facilities include science laboratories (Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Physics), a library, and student lounges. Around 2100 students attend Columbia College from 61 countries. Some study abroad scholarships are available for international students. However, there are no on-campus accommodations at the college. For that reason, international students need to find homestay accommodations. Famous alumni include Scott Adsit, Len Amato, Mauro Fiore, and more.
