Located in the historic city of Edinburg, the University was initially known as Napier Technical College was founded in the year of 1964. The University has derived its name from the 16th-century Mathematician & philosopher John Napier. The University has 3 campuses in Sighthill, Merchiston, and Craiglockhart. The University has a variety of programs in fields like Health, Engineering, Arts, Management, Law, Media, and many other programs. With 9000 international students out of a total of 20000 from 140 countries, the university has always been on the wishlist of international students. The prime reason being their excellent academic record towards International students. Its impact on research has also been recognized by being awarded the Queen’s Anniversary Prize, the prestigious award in the UK for higher education research, and its impact on the business ecosystem.
