About us
Jagiellonian University was founded in 1364 by Casimir III the Great and is the oldest university not only in Poland but also in all of Central Europe. It is per setup in Kraków and comprises sixteen faculties, roughly 4,000 academicians, and enrols more than 40,000 students in over 80 disciplines.
The university is equipped with research centres such as the Jagiellonian Centre for Experimental Therapeutics and the Małopolska Centre for Biotechnology. It actively cooperates with universities from different countries as a partner in academic exchange programs.
