About us

Lincoln University is the oldest institution imparting agricultural education in the Southern Hemisphere. Found in 1878, and established as an independent public university in the year 1990, the university campus stretches across 120 acres of land in near vicinity to the city of Christchurch, in Lincoln, NZ. Offering a range of career-oriented global education programs under three main faculties, the university proffers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, certificate, and diploma courses and doctorate courses in various disciplines having accreditations from New Zealand Planning Institute, Euroleague for Life Sciences, Pacific Rim Real Estate Society, European Cooperation in Science and Technology, and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Educating over 3000 students with 1300 international students, this university remains to be the smallest university of New Zealand in terms of enrolment, holding a world rank at 356th position by QS Top Universities 2020, placing itself amongst the world’s top 500 universities. The university is also known for its research work and hence maintains 11 research centres and strong links with national and international leading organisations like Lincoln Agritech, Bio-Protection Research Centre, AgriOne, and South Island Dairying Development Centre for funding and development of researches, thereby exposing its students to practical learning and acquire skills and knowledge in line with the real industrial trends.
