About us
McNeese State University is a public university in Lake Charles, Louisiana, USA and has a popular catchphrase, “The University of Excellence with a Personal Touch." Set up in 1939, it provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses in business, education, engineering, liberal arts, nursing, science and undergraduate and postgraduate programs in business studies.
McNeese's engineering program is nationally acclaimed; it ranks 7th for lifetime ROI, according to Payscale. The campus occupies 121 acres of land, and it has excellent features such as the Write to Excellence Centre that offers writing assistance to its patrons, customers, clients and consumers in the areas of business, academics, writing, and the arts for no charge.
Furthermore, to address the current diverse geographical location of student services, the university is in the process of establishing the Student Success Centre.
