About us
The MGH Institute of Health Professions has its roots in the 1977 founding of the Institute for Health Professions by Massachusetts General Hospital, an acute care teaching hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Member of the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE), the institute provides its students with a set of programs: Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Doctor of Physical Therapy, as well as Doctor of Occupational Therapy.
The MGH Institute also already has a good relationship with the clinical centres affiliated with Mass General Brigham, thereby improving its educational and research activities. The institute’s programs are accredited by their respective professional and accrediting agencies, thus upholding the highest facility standard in health professions education.
