About us
Mount Alison University, abbreviated as MTU, is a public-funded primarily undergraduate liberal arts university in New Brunswick, Canada. It was founded in 1839 and became a full-fledged university in 1993. The MTU campus sprawls across 72 acres and comprises five buildings with magnificent architecture, the athletics center, two eateries, one pub, and eight residential halls. The university consists of three academic faculties that offer 50 undergraduate and certificate programs in diverse disciplines like arts, social sciences, commerce, health, etc. MTU’s total enrollment is 2379 students and has a study abroad intake of 12 percent international students. Mount Alison is renowned for its research and innovation and has been ranked the best undergraduate university in Canada 21 times. MTU is home to 120 active student clubs and numerous varsity sports teams. Lastly, Mount Alison University is the proud Alma Mater of multiple notable alumni, including Olympian Daniel Gaudet, Kate Beaton, and Greg Kerr.
