About us

Newcastle University is a public-funded university in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. We can trace the university’s roots to the School of Medicine and Surgery founded in 1834. In addition to the main campus, the university has three satellite locations in Malaysia, Singapore, and London. The main Newcastle campus sprawls across 50 acres of land and encompasses three academic faculties, 13 residence halls, an award-winning library, the Centre for Physical Recreation and Sports, and likewise. An enrollment of 28000 students and a diverse cohort of 8100 international students from 140 countries make Newcastle University one of the best places to study abroad. The university offers 200 undergraduate programs and 300 graduate courses in sought-after fields like business, medicine, law, languages, etc. Newcastle University is home to 160 student societies and 65 sports clubs. The university is a member of the Russell Group of 24 research-intensive universities and was ranked joint 23rd in the UK amongst multi-faculty institutions for research quality.
