North Tec Institute is a tertiary education provider with a focus on imparting technical and research-oriented international education programs. Based in Whangarei, New Zealand, this public institute was incepted in 1978 and changed its names and focus areas in education with time. Presently, the institute educates over 7000 students with approx 12% international students, offering them a wide variety of undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, short-term, and certificate level specializations in Applied Arts, Applied Writing, Applied Science, Architectural Technology, Agriculture, Business, Automotive Engineering, Civil Engineering, Travel & Tourism, Occupational Health & Safety, and many more. All the programs offered are accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority. One of the recent highlights about North Tec is its new campus in Auckland, which offers a no tuition fees English Scholarship program for the international students against a security bond, which upon passing the test is remitted to the mainstream study tuition fees.
