About us

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in its current name and status started its operations in 1989 as a public institution. Based in one of the best cities for international students, the university has 2 of its campuses in Brisbane, Queensland, and another one in Canberra. Ranked #179th by ‘THE’ 2020 globally the university is amongst the top 180 universities worldwide, while the 2020 QS World Universities Ranking has charted it amongst the top 250 universities of the world, ranking it #224. Recognised as one of the youngest research-intensive universities known for its excellence in teaching and global interdisciplinary research work, the university has bagged over 110 awards in this category. Educating over 50,000 students including 8,944 international students, the university offers its ‘work-integrated’ undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees in an array of areas like science, engineering, business, education, creative industries, and law, in affiliation with the Australian Technology Network and the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning.
