About us
Carbondale public research university is known as Southern Illinois University Carbondale which was founded in 1869. Located in Carbondale, Illinois, SIU is the largest and most recognized campus of the Southern Illinois University system and has 200 plus programs in its undergraduate and graduate courses. SIU has a rich tradition of research activity and cooperates with such giants as NASA and the U.S. Geological Survey.
Thus, providing education for students from more than 100 countries, SIU promotes diversity at its campuses. In an effort to meet the needs of foreign students, SIU offers them the best services hence the best place for students from outside the country to study.
