Stony Brook University is a large public research university located in Stony Brook, NY, in USA, and it is among the SUNY system universities. SBU was founded in 1957 and has received credit for providing quality education and productivity regarding research.

SBU received an unprecedented $500 million cash and property no-strings-attached contribution from the Simons Foundation, second to the largest donation to a public college received to date in the United States.
