About us
Thompson Rivers University (TRU) is a public university in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, recognised for its successful mission in delivering effective, inclusive, diverse programs based on present-day practical exposures. Starting its journey in 1970, this university provides more than 140 on-campus and 60 online or distance learning programs of undergraduate and postgraduate vocational degrees and diplomas.
As a member of the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), the university takes pride in being the first in Canada to achieve double platinum status in sustainability. It spread over 250 acres, which is majestically comprised of 40 acres of gardens and the largest arboretum in the interior of British Columbia.
