Thompson Rivers University (TRU) is a public educational and research university that offers bachelor's and master's degrees as well as professional education. Its main campus is located in Kamloops, B.C, Canada, and takes its name from the two rivers that confluence at Kamloops, North Thompson, and South Thompson. Established in 1970, the university is one of the best places for studying abroad. Many world leaders and entrepreneurs have graduated from TRU. TRU's global division has many international partners. With 26,000 students studying on campus or through distance and online learning, the university offers 140 on-campus and 60 open study programs. It has over 2,000 employees, including faculty, staff, and management. TRU offers students extracurricular activities for academic study and community service. Most of their students are from China, India, Saudi Arabia, and 70 other countries. More than 33,000 Canadian graduates and more than 15,000 international graduates have graduated from TRU's undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs. Some of their notable alumni are Kamar Burke and Steven Galloway.
