About us
Leiden University was founded in 1575, the oldest university in the Netherlands, and is currently regarded as one of the leading research universities. It has seven faculties, namely, Archaeology, Governance and Global Affairs, Humanities, Law, Medicine / LUMC, Science, and Social and Behavioural Sciences, for which it provides a variety of bachelor's and master's programmes.
It is among the world's top hundred most reputed universities, ranking 73rd globally according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
