University College London is considered the third-largest University in terms of the total number of students enrolled. It was founded in 1826. It was one of the first institutions in London to accept students regardless of their religion and the first University to admit women. The school's main campus is in Bloomsbury in central London, and other campuses are in East London and Doha, Qatar. The University is organized into 12 faculties, including Arts and Humanities, Bartlett (Built Environment), Brain Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Institute of Education, Law, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and physics, medical sciences, population health sciences, social sciences, and history comprising about 100 institutes, research centers, and departments. It offers 450 UG programs and 675 PG programs.

Alumni include representatives of the Indian independence movement, Mahatma Gandhi, Alexander Graham, the inventor of the telephone, William Stanley, a pioneer in modern economics, and many others.
