About us

The University of Leicester is an English public research university founded in 1921. It offers more than 200-degree programs, 400 certificates, and general interest courses. With a global outlook, the university attracts students primarily due to its excellence in space research and related programs. The campus facilities include the Advanced Imaging Facility (AIF), Electron Microscopy Facility, Genomics Core Facility, Leicester Imaging Technologies (LITE), Libraries, laboratories, and others. It is equipped with modern laboratories, libraries, art studios, and computing centers that provide top-notch learning facilities. First-year students and new postgraduate students who apply before September 1 in the year of resumption are guaranteed an offer of university-managed accommodation, including 8 halls.
