About us
The University of Massachusetts Boston (UMass Boston) was established in the year 1852. Formerly known as the Boston State College, this university now offers world-class education to students from across the world. There are over 16,164 students enrolled in different undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by the university. Multiple learning centres like the Centre for Environmental Health and the Centre for Social Policy are also present within the university campus. Located 26 miles from Massachusetts, the 120-acre wide university campus is split into eight separate colleges. It also offers various study abroad programs, making it a popular choice for students. Notable alumni of the university are Joseph Abboud, Tim Costello, and Joseph P Kennedy II, amongst several others.
