About us
University of Massachusetts Lowell, abbreviated as UMass Lowell or UML, is a public-funded research university with its main campus in Lowell, Massachusetts. UML is the northernmost member of the University of Massachusetts system and is also the second-largest public institution of the state. The main campus of UMass Lowell sprawls across 125 acres and is 25 miles northwest of Boston. The university is divided into six colleges and schools: the College of Fine arts, Manning School of Business, Francis College of Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences College, Kennedy College of Sciences, Zuckerberg College of health sciences, and the School of Education. The total enrollment of UML is 18000 students. The university offers 120 bachelor’s degrees, 43 master’s degrees, and 25 doctoral degrees in diverse fields such as Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Health Sciences, etc. An acceptance rate of 69 percent and a rolling admission system make UMass Lowell one of the best places to study abroad.
