About us

The University of Ottawa is a leading bilingual public research university in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. A 42.5-hectare (105-acre) main campus is located in the Sandy Hill neighborhood, directly across the Rideau Canal from Downtown Ottawa. A total of 450 undergraduate and graduate programs are offered at the University of Ottawa. Through its 10 faculties, the university offers various doctoral, certificate, and associate degree programs. By participating in student exchange programs and summer programs, students have the opportunity to earn credits while study abroad. In over 52 countries, the university has exchange agreements with over 250 institutions.

Over 35,000 undergraduate and 6,000 postgraduate students are enrolled at the school, which is co-educational. Around 7,000 international students attend the university, representing 150 countries and making up 17% of the student population. The university has over 195,000 alumni in its alumni network. There is a 12% acceptance rate for admission to the University of Ottawa, making the admission process quite competitive for students.
