Established in 1975, the University of Roehampton is a highly-ranked public institution of research-centric higher education in London, United Kingdom. Titled as the Roehampton Institute of Higher Education, the institution came into existence as a result of the merger between four teacher training colleges founded in the 19th century. It was branded with the current name in 2011, but its legal name is Roehampton University, which was given to it in the year 2004. The total student enrolment at the university for the year was 22,754, out of which 70% are females and 30% males. About 9,248 students pursue programmes on the campus, while near about 6,852 are off-campus learners and 6,655 online students.
