About us
The University of Sheffield, abbreviated as TUOS, is a public research university in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It was established in 1828 as Sheffield Medical School and became a full-fledged university in 1905. The TUOS campus comprises 430 buildings, five academic divisions, an international faculty, various residence halls with a total capacity of 6200 rooms, the Goodwin Sports Centre, and likewise. TUOS offers some of the best courses to study abroad, including 100 plus postgraduate and undergraduate programs in sought-after disciplines like engineering, business, sciences, etc. The total enrollment of Sheffield University is 30055 students, out of whom 7344 are international. TUOS is a member of the top 10 of the Russell Group for research output and among the top 12 for research strength. TUOS is home to 350 student societies and multiple athletic teams. Lastly, some of the notable alumni of the University of Sheffield include Booker Prize winner Hailey Mantel, Amy Johnson, and Jessica Ennis.
