About us
The University of South Alabama, founded in 1963 in Mobile, Alabama, is a public research university that offers undergraduate and graduate programs in ten colleges and schools: Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions, College of Arts and Sciences, Mitchell College of Business, and Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine.
The university is affiliated with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to warrant competency in academic programs offered by this university.
