About us

The University of the Pacific, abbreviated as UOP, is a private affiliated campus in Stockton, California. It was founded in 1851. In addition to the main campus at Stockton, UOP has two graduate campuses in San Francisco and Sacramento. The main UOP campus encapsulates175 acres and includes ten academic schools and colleges, three residence halls, the Don and Karen DeRosa University Center, rose gardens, and other recreational infrastructures. The total enrollment of UOP is 6400 plus students and has a study abroad intake of 7.9 percent international students. The university offers 80 undergraduate programs, 30 professional and graduate courses, and 11 accelerated programs in diverse disciplines such as health sciences, engineering, dentistry, natural sciences, etc. The innovation domain of OUP is top-notch, with the university investing in a USD 20 million Biological Sciences Center recently. UOP is home to multiple students clubs and 17 intercollegiate sports teams. Lastly, some of the famous alumni of the University of the Pacific include Arif Alvi, Brad Schumacher, and Robert M. Widney.
