The University of Sunderland is a leading institute for higher education and research in North East England, founded in 1992. There are basically two campuses of Sunderland - City Campus, Sunderland, and Sir Tom Cowie Campus, at St. Peter's, Sunderland. Besides its two Sunderland campuses, it also has Hong Kong and London campuses. In addition, the university also has the National Glass Centre, a highly regarded glass design and innovation center. A variety of undergraduate and graduate programs are offered, including 20 study areas, like Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Law, Medicine, and Psychology. A total of 50 sports clubs and societies are currently affiliated with the university. Around 20,000 students study at the university from more than 100 countries. Hence, some study abroad scholarships are available for international students. Throughout the campuses, students will find small cafeterias and food joints with various healthy, hygienic, delicious foods and beverages.
