The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse ( UWL, locally La Crosse) is a public university located in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Founded in 1909, the University of Wisconsin is the premier public university in the system, offering bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. With 9,600 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate students, UW-La Crosse consists of 4 colleges and schools presenting 102 undergraduate applications, 31 graduate applications, and a pair of doctoral applications. UWL is one of the best universities for studying abroad. UW-La Crosse has approx 180 student clubs in an extensive variety of areas, consisting of academic, religious, cultural, athletic, political, social, and different companies. Intramural sports activities applications also are to be had to students. The Physical Education Club, which become shaped in 1912, is the longest constantly running corporation in the school. The Student Medical Center is designed to meet the unique medical needs of UWL and Western students. The University is committed to providing students with opportunities to share responsibility in the learning process and create positive learning communities.
